What is a Cash Advance?
A Cash Advance from Money Mart® is a short-term loan to help when you next extra cash in a hurry. It may also be referred to as a payday loan. They are ideal for emergencies or to cover temporary cash crunches. We don’t advise using payday loans as a long-term financial solution.
Can I qualify for a Cash Advance?
Anyone who lives in an eligible state, is 18 years old or over and has a steady source of income can apply for a Money Mart Cash Advance (payday loan). You will need the following items to apply:
  • Recent bank statement from a valid checking account
  • Personal check from your checking account
  • Recent proof of steady income (e.g. pay statement)
  • A valid government-issued photo ID
  • Utility bill (in-store applications)
  • A valid email address (online applications)
How much can I borrow?
Loans vary by state. Use the slider on our homepage to find out how much you might borrow. It automatically calculates your fees and the total you have to repay. The amount you can borrow depends on your income and the maximum amounts permitted in your state.
Why isn't there a loan available for me?
The best way to know if we offer loans in your state is to use the slider on our homepage and select your state. Money Mart is always thinking of new ways to bring you new financial solutions, so check back often.
How do I repay my cash advance?
Your repayment is due in full on the due date that is clearly shown on your loan documents. Repaying by cash is easy-simply visit any Money Mart store. Can’t make it to the store? No problem. Depending on your state, we’ll either deposit your check or withdraw the payment from your checking account electronically. Talk to us to find out how it works for you.
What happens if I don’t repay on time?
If you expect an issue with your payment, let us know. Take a look at your loan agreement to see if there’s an option in your state for an extended payment plan. Or contact us and we can help you figure out if you’re eligible for this type of extension or some other arrangement. Let’s solve this together.

What documents will I need to apply online for the first time?
To apply for a loan online, you will need:
  • Recent bank statement from a valid checking account
  • Personal check from your checking account
  • Recent proof of steady income (e.g. pay statement)
  • A valid government-issued photo ID
  • A valid email address
How can I get a Money Mart online account?
If you live in an eligible state, you can apply online and get an online account.
Do I need to sign my loan documents?
Yes. When applying online, you will be asked to e-sign your loan documents. Your e-signature is legally binding.
Do I need to read my agreement?
Yes. You must read and understand your loan agreement. Always make sure you’re comfortable with what you’re borrowing. Our customer service team is standing by if you need help or if there is something in this contract you don't understand. How long will I have to wait for the deposit of my loan once approved?
We initiate funding based on the date disclosed in your loan agreement. Funding times will vary based on bank, but it typically may take up to 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) to transfer the money into your account. During the week funding typically occurs within 1 business day. On the weekend funds can take longer based on your bank’s operating hours.
What if I cannot provide the documents that are required to complete the application?
If you do not have the documents required to complete your application, it will be cancelled by the system within 24 hours. Please feel free to reapply through your user account once you have the necessary documentation.
What will happen if the bank information that I provided is incorrect?
If the bank details provided are incorrect loan funds cannot be successfully deposited to your account. It is critical that the correct banking information be provided at the time of application. If you discover after funding that there is an error with the bank information provided in the application, the loan will be cancelled in 3-5 days. You will receive an email confirming your loan has been cancelled. Once you receive this email you can reapply.
